Yorktown Park - Community raised garden boxes - Thomas L
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, volunteers from Ciocca Subaru along with members of the Subaru Ambassador program, under the direction of general manager Doug Augburn, worked with the City of Yorks Forester to replant the ten (10) raised garden boxes in Yorktown Park with vegetables plants, herbs and flowers. This year's replanting project marked Ciocca's fourth year of taking Yorktown Park under its wing to enhance recreational opportunites for the community living around the Park. Because of this continued effort, residents of all ages have the opportunity to harvest seasonal vegetables and herbs that can be used towards meals at home, or enjoy fresh cut flowers for a vase, while observing wildlife such honeybees, butterflies and hummingbirds as they pollinate the garden boxes. The well-maintained garden boxes serve as a gathering place where residents can gather with their neighbors to participate in and enjoy their shared gardening hobbies. While in the park on May 12th, volunteers inspected the picnic tables that were installed in the pavilion during last year's project to make sure everything was in working order . The picnic tables installed in 2025 have created a picnic space where families can gather under the shade of pavilion to enjoy a fun filled day in the park. Thankyou once again to Doug and Ciocca Subaru for your continued commitment and support of our neighborhood park. Your dedication to making sure our City youth have a safe and well-maintained space to recreate in truly supports the City of York as being a place where residents can live, work and play.

We are an all breed any age dog rescue. July 18 we were blessed to be allowed to hold our monthly meet and greet event at Ciocca Subaru of York. We had 16 dogs at the event which might be a record for us. 1 dog got adopted but we had a great turn out of people stopping to meet the dogs. Without this wonderful partnership we have with Ciocca Subaru we wouldn't be able to find forever homes for all of the dogs that desperately need them. Thank you very much!
York County Food Bank Feels the Love from Subaru - Kelly R
The York County Food Bank is incredibly grateful to Ciocca Subaru of York for supporting us through the Share the Love event. Words cannot express our gratitude for being given the opportunity to participate in this program, knowing the impact that the dollars raised will have in feeding our hungry neighbors in York County. In 2025, through our own programs and through our Food Security Network, we distributed 3.4 million healthy meals to seniors, families, and individuals in need all over York County. We did this with the support of 125-150 volunteers every week who donated over 11,000 hours of their time. We couldn't have done it without those volunteers, our donors, and the hard work of our partners all over the county. With nearly 60,000 people facing food insecurity in York County, this is no small accomplishment. But there is still a lot more work to do in order to create a Hunger Free York. Hunger is rising across York County: monthly neighbor visits have increased by 40% since 2023. Because of Ciocca Subaru of York's support, the York County Food Bank will be able to provide more than 34,000 meals to those who are hungry in York County. This will be accomplished through our network of collaborative partner agencies throughout York County, in addition to our own drive-thru food distribution, Senior Food Box Program, Give-A-Meal Program, Online Food Pantry and others.
PA caring for K9s Dog Rescue - Karen B
On March 28 our dog rescue was fortunate enough to partner with Ciocca Subaru of York who allows us to hold our meet and greets at their dealership. PA caring for K9s is an all breed dog rescue who transports dogs up from down south because of their high kill rate. After the dogs arrive up north they live in the fosters homes until they are adopted. Although we didn't have any dogs adopted at the event we did receive several applications that's allowed dogs to find their forever home. Without this wonderful opportunity we would struggle to find venues to hold our meet and greet events
Arbor Day Tree Event - Douglas A
Saturday April 18th was a great day at Ciocca Subaru of York. With our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation we gave away 100 trees into our community. Thank you for the local support from the community by adopting a tree to help our community and planet.
Wrapped in Warmth, Powered by Community - Melissa M
Kindness has a way of showing up exactly when it's needed most, and this winter, it made all the difference for families at Bell Family Shelter. Through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, Ciocca Subaru of York ensured children and families were warm during the coldest months. Staff from Ciocca Subaru, two dedicated Subaru Ambassadors, Lori Krouse from Operation Warm, and our shelter team came together to create a truly special experience—helping each child, parent, and family member find a coat that fit just right. The coats, all donated by Subaru, brought happiness and warmth to the parents and children staying at Bell Family Shelter. But the generosity didn't stop there. Throughout February, additional donations of socks and blankets brought even more warmth and comfort into the shelter. These aren't just winter essentials—they're meaningful items families can take with them as they transition into their new homes, offering a reminder that they are seen and supported. Thank you to everyone who helped turn compassion into action and bring the Subaru Love Promise to life.

Our rescue is an all breed dog rescue. Dogs are fostered in our homes until they are adopted. One of our rescue dogs found his forever home at this event. We are fortunate that Ciocca allows us to hold our meet and greets at their dealerships. This allows people to stop in and hopefully fall in love with one of our dogs. We are blessed that Ciocca is hosting four events for our rescue in 2026 to allow more dogs to be adopted. Without this wonderful partnership we would struggle to have our foster dogs find their forever home!

Subaru has been a faithful supporter of the York County Food Bank for many years, through the Share the Love Program. Subaru's support helps to provide healthy, nutritious food to families, children, and seniors who are struggling to make ends meet.
PACK9 Meet and Greet @ Ciocca Subaru of York - Jill L
PA Caring for K9's (PACK9) is an all-breed dog rescue based out of Pennsylvania. At PACK9, adoptable dogs and puppies reside in foster homes until they are adopted which provides an easier transition into their furever homes. PACK9 is run solely on volunteer efforts, without any paid employees. Our dogs and puppies are primarily saved in coordination with our rescue partners from overcrowded kill-shelters in Alabama and Georgia. The dogs and puppies are brought up to date on vaccines, fixed (if age appropriate) and treated for their other medical conditions/injuries. Once healthy, they are transported north to Pennsylvania. Since we do not have a physical shelter location, adopters must travel to the foster's home to meet their potential new family memember. Meet and Greet events allow adopters to meet multiple dogs at a time and brings more public awareness. We couldn't do it without our community partners and were are very grateful to have a partnership with Ciocca Subaru of York.

On Tuesday, June 20, 2025, volunteers from Ciocca Subaru and members of the Subaru Ambassador Program, under the direction of Doug Augburn, came into Yorktown Park and replanted the ten raised garden boxes with vegetables, herbs and flowers and added two new picnic tables to a recently constructed pavilion in the park. 2025, marks the third year in a row that Ciocca Subaru of York has taken Yorktown Park under its wing and created recreational opportunities for the community who live around Yorktown Park. Because of this effort, residents of all ages have the opportunity to harvest seasonal vegetables and herbs that they can take home and cook, flowers that can be cut to be placed in a vase on a kitchen table and have the opportunity to watch wildlife, such as butterflies and humming birds, as they pollinate the garden. This year, Ciocca Subaru invested additional funding towards purchasing two brand new picnic tables which are placed underneath the pavilion in Yorktown Park. Because of the new picnic tables, park patrons now have a shaded place to sit and enjoy a picnic, read a book or play a game or even just sit back and watch children who are busy at play. In conclusion, the year 2025 marks the third year for Ciocca Subaru adopting Yorktown Park. Because of their commitment, York City residents are given an opportunity to enjoy gardening, provided nutritional opportunities for their families and now have two new picnic tables where they can sit to enjoy a shaded space and to experience all that Yorktown Park has to offer. Thank you Ciocca Subaru for your three-year commitment to supporting our neighborhood park. Your dedication to our York City community truly supports the City of York as being a place where residents can work, live and play.
